Stefano Breschi

weekly evening course Locanda al Colle (Lu)

"I say and confirm that drawing  in company is much better than drawing  alone, for many reasons"

(Leonardo da Vinci: Treatise on Painting)

Technique is grammar, the art is to create a personal language drawing from personal experience.
In all our courses you will find technical help on offer from the expert tutors, although above all we aim to provide a stimulating environment and a situation open to dialogue. The application and curiosity of each partecipant provides invaluable input and enrichens everyones experience of the course.

N.B. Due to the unknown levels of experience and culture of the particepants it would be difficult and restricting to propose course with a fixed programme. Our teachers offer a selection of courses that will give a direction to the group. Teaching will be on an individual basis and the course will develop according to the needs of the students. During the two weeks there will be group crits where the work will be discussed. Each course will end with a small exhibition of students work.

To help choose the course suitable for you we have divided them into three categories:

                      Course

Suitable for all levels

Teaching covers the fundamental notions that lead to the development of an individual use of the technique used.

Lessons and/or demonstrations will be given, covering the technique and concepts.

                        Workshop

For students at an intermediate level or who already have a basic understanding of the technique involved.

Teaching is on an individual basis and partecipants are expected to be self motivated and able to work autonamously (we start by producing the work and then we discuss it)

Lessons are given on fundemental notions only if requested by partecipants.

             Advanced Workshop

Particepants are expected to have a solid basis of understanding.

Teaching aims at stimulating and enriching a consciousness of the argument in hand. A high level of self motivation and autonomy is expected.
